Participant Feedback
What participants say after attending
These are real accounts from adults who attended Manee Advisors programmes. We have kept them unedited and varied — they do not all say the same thing, because every person arrives with different expectations.

Somchai Patcharin
Bangkok · Reading the Markets
I have been wanting to understand the SET for years but every source I found either assumed I was already a trader or was clearly trying to get me to open a brokerage account. This programme was neither. The historical perspective was genuinely useful, and the reading list has kept me busy since.

Nonthaburi · Pre-Retirement Decade
I am 54 and had never properly understood how the SSO pension would actually work in practice — the timing, the amounts, the interaction with my provident fund. Four sessions clarified more than I had managed to figure out on my own over the past decade. The reference materials are well-organised and I have referred to them several times since.

Bangkok · Family Finance Workshop
The case studies made the workshop feel real in a way that abstract financial advice never does. My situation — supporting parents, contributing to my brother's household, trying to save something for myself — was reflected closely in one of the examples. I shared the workbook with my husband and it opened a conversation we had been putting off for two years.

Chiang Mai · Reading the Markets
I travelled from Chiang Mai specifically for this programme. The evenings were manageable — I could stay with family and attend Tuesday and Thursday over two weeks. Whether the content justified the travel: yes, I think it did. I particularly appreciated the session on time horizons, which shifted how I was thinking about decisions in a way that felt grounded rather than theoretical.

Siripan Ratchanakon
Bangkok · Pre-Retirement Decade
At 57, I found myself having conversations in the sessions that I had not been able to have with financial advisers, because here no one needed me to decide anything. The questions I asked were answered honestly, including "I don't know" when that was the honest answer. That was refreshing.

Samut Prakan · Family Finance Workshop
The group was the right size. I had been worried it would be a seminar where you sit and listen, but instead it was eight of us in a room working through real situations. The other participants were at similar life stages and the discussion was candid. I would attend the pre-retirement programme next year.

Participant Journeys
Case studies from recent participants
These accounts are composites drawn from real participant feedback, shared with permission, with identifying details changed.
Case Study 01 — The Pre-Retirement Decade
Starting point
A 56-year-old civil engineer in Bangkok had spent twenty years contributing to her provident fund but could not explain to herself how the fund would interact with the SSO pension when she eventually stopped working. She had asked her HR department twice, but the answers did not quite make sense to her.
What the programme provided
The Pre-Retirement Decade programme covered both systems with printed reference material. By session two, she had a clear picture of the two income streams, their eligibility conditions, and the likely overlap in timing. Session three helped her think through the timing of two remaining decisions about the family home.
After the programme
Six months later, she had made one of the two household decisions and deferred the second until her provident fund position was clearer. She described the main outcome as "knowing which questions are answerable now and which ones need to wait."
"I did not leave with a financial plan. I left with a much clearer picture of my own situation, which is what I actually needed."
Case Study 02 — Family Finance Across Generations
Starting point
A 48-year-old accountant was sending money to his parents every month, helping with his younger brother's university costs, and trying to build some savings for his own retirement. He felt pulled in every direction and could not see a way to think about the three obligations as a system rather than competing demands.
What the programme provided
The Family Finance workshop presented three case studies of similar household structures. In the small-group discussion, he found that most of the others in the room were managing comparable situations. The workbook gave him a framework to examine each obligation separately and consider which were time-limited and which were open-ended.
After the programme
He shared the workbook with his brother, which led to a conversation about whether the university support could shift to a loan rather than a gift once his brother started working. The parents' support remained unchanged. He attended the Pre-Retirement Decade programme eight months later.
"The workbook was the most valuable part for me, not because of what it said but because of what it made possible to say to my family."
